In the Blink of an Eye

Artists Sam Marroquin and David Cordes, uncover truth in current and historic events while exploring nuclear power and weapons in our society in, “In the Blink of an Eye”. This multilayered art exhibit delves into the history, science and technology behind atomic weapons and power. From the discovery of radioactivity and the dropping of the first atomic bomb to the Hanford Nuclear Site and the meltdown at Fukushima, the artists investigate many facets of atomic technology. While examining both positive and negative impacts, the show encourages visitors to take a closer look at current implications and fears about nuclear war and power.

Join us at on Thursday, October 3 for a compelling presentation by renowned video and radio producer, Barbara Bernstein about the Hanford Nuclear Site. The art opening is 4pm-7pm. Barbara Bernstein will be speaking at 4:30pm, followed by brief artist talks by Cordes and Marroquin. Refreshments provided.
